SEA Builders has particular experience in the practice and incorporation of sustainable and resource efficient design principles in its constructed work. Green design and building practice is an inherent part of every project we engage. We incorporate natural ventilation, natural light, passive solar, as well as incorporating pre-fabrication and innovative high performance wall and roof systems. Our projects are climate responsive in as varied locations as the humid coastal zone of Hawaii, dry desert zone of Baja California, and high mountain zone of the Rocky Mountains. SEA Builders corporate values are based on the respect and efficient use of our human and natural resources with our primary responsibility to the greater whole. SEA Builders is engaged in transforming the excesses and waste of society into value-added, quality designed products. We source new sensibly responsible materials and procedures to use in the projects we design and build. Sea Builders, as a company, has become intimate with biomimicry, the science that studies nature, its models, systems, processes and elements and then takes creative inspiration from them to create a sustainable built environment. We are passionate, knowledgeable, and have the technical expertise required to make our clients projects sustainable. Robert Mandich, SEA Builder principal, has been LEED AP certified since 2004 and expertise is based on over 35 year’s of direct hands on field experience, utilizing sustainable strategies since 1975. SEA Builders is active in the environmental community, is involved with the USGBC, and has been the design architect for the International Bamboo Foundation. We believe in the preservation and conservation of the earth’s resources, and our practice reflects these beliefs.

LEED is driving the green building industry.

From individual buildings and homes to entire neighborhoods, LEED is transforming the way we think about how our buildings and communities are designed, constructed, maintained and operated across the globe. Comprehensive and flexible, LEED is a green building tool that addresses the entire building lifecycle recognizing best-in-class building strategies.

LEED can lower operating costs and increase asset value, conserve energy, water and other resources.

LEED can be healthier and safer for occupants, and can qualify for money-saving incentives, like tax rebates and zoning allowances.

Our commitment to a building's energy efficiency and sustainability is simply part of our commitment to excellence.
